DRS. MILLER & FLYNN

We've been serving the Midlands for over 30 years.

Drs. Miller and Flynn have served the eye-care needs of Columbia’s residents for over 30 years. We provide primary care to patients of all ages. Each patient receives a comprehensive eye examination to detect any signs of eye disease and to achieve their best possible vision. Our office carries current diagnostic equipment, multiple designer frames, cutting-edge lens technology, and great contact lens options. Please come see us for your next eye exam.

Philip Flynn, OD

Dr. Flynn joined Drs. Miller and Flynn, Optometrists after graduating from the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Optometry in 2002. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College with a BA in History. Since settling in Lexington, SC, Dr. Flynn has been extremely active in local community and optometric events. He is currently the Past President of the South Carolina Optometrist Physician’s Association after serving the previous six years on the Board of Directors. He is the recipient of the Optometric Horizon Award(2005), Distinguished Service Award(2010), Young Optometrist of the Year(2011), Distinguished Service Award(2012), Tim Burrell Legislative Award(2012), and OD of the Year (2013).

Dr. Flynn has been on the Steering Committee for SC Mission 2011 and 2012 to help address the eye-care needs of South Carolina. He also helped to form the Midlands Eye Clinic to help the uninsured and underserved residents of Richland county.

Dr. Flynn is a member of the Columbia Capital Rotary Club and a Past-President of the Lexington Lions Club. He and his wife, Ann, are members of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church. They have two daughters. He enjoys spending time with them and watching all USC

Henry Miller, OD

Dr. Miller is a lifelong resident of Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 1977. He has practiced optometry for over 30 years and founded the current practice. Over the years, Dr. Miller has had the pleasure to examine multiple generations of families.

Dr. Miller is a current board member of the South Carolina Respite Coalition and serves as an advocate for those who need respite care. He also serves on the board for the Columbia Jewish Federation and has previously served on the Columbia Jewish Committee Board.

Dr. Miller and his wife, Minda, are members of the Beth Shalom Synagogue. They have two grown children. He enjoys playing tennis and watching USC basketball.
